Personally, I think that this minimizes what might be a difference of opinion on philosophy and economics, at least among some of the protestors. I’m sure many of them have just latched on to the rhetoric, but there are others who come more reasoned backgrounds. While I don’t agree with much of what they say, I can’t simply dismiss them as uninformed. I have to make an argument on the merits of their views. Simply calling them uneducated about the issues is no better than name calling.
