Really enjoyed this thought provoking talk that several Facebook friends pointed me to. I’ve begun to appreciate Francis Chan more and more as I’ve come across his writing and speaking. (I commented on his break from the ministry here, and included a video of a part of one of his sermons.) I listened to his own reading of his book on the Holy Spirit, The Forgotten God, which discussed our habit of forgetting the importance of the third person in the Trinity. The original video with some notes can be found on the Desiring God website here, but I can’t embed that here, so I’ve included the YouTube version. Yes it is long (over an hour), but I assure you that it will be worth every minute if you take seriously the kind of life he calls us to, a life sold out to loving and living like Christ. Enjoy!
